Scented Candles
Candles have long been used by millions of people from the ancient times up to now. Candles can be used in so many different ways like in religious ceremonies, special occasions, for special dinners, as home decors, or simply as an alternative source of light. Candles come in various types, colors, and designs.
Generally, candles are divided into six categories. First is the container candle which is simply candle wax poured over ceramics or glass. Votive candles are free standing candles typically used for devotion or in religious services. The pillar candles are also free standing candles but are more rigid. Taper candles are usually slender candles. The tea-light candles are small round candles that come in an aluminum container. Lastly, the hurricane candles are candles that contain embedded objects like shells, stones and other non-flammable objects on its outer shell.
Scented candles on the other hand, can be any of the six categories mentioned above. Scented candles can belong to all categories because all of those candles can be added with scented oils and fragrance to produce a scented candle. Scented candles are probably the most popular kind of candles because it spreads great fragrance all over the room. If you are looking at buying scented candles online, you will find thousands of companies that offer richly scented candles, scented jar candles, wholesale scented candles, heavily scented candles, scented pillar candles, or even those that claim to be the best scented candles.
Now, if you want to make your own custom scented candle, you will need materials such as gel wax, zinc wicks, liquid dye, scented oils for a richly scented candle, and glass objects or decors for embedding, plus your glass container like a vase or wine glass. A scented gel candle would be the easiest scented jar candle you can do because a scented pillar candle will require paraffin wax that will cool for hours or even a whole day.
Secure your wick at the center of your glass with hot glue. Arrange your decors like stones or pebbles in your container. It will also help secure your wick. Tie the top end of your wick to a stick that sits on top of your glass. Now, melt your gel wax in a steel pot at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. As soon as it’s already syrupy, add your dye and scented oils. About 1/3 teaspoon of fragrance oil is enough but you can add a little more for a highly scented candle. Once mixed, pour in the glass, let cool, trim the wick and you’re done! With this, you can start making highly scented candles now.
